Still checking the price, but wanted to show the pics. If the price isn't too horrible, I may end up replacing mine, as I suspect I've got serious scale problems.

The first picture the radiator was backwards, so the upper and lower were on the wrong side. I've flipped it, but the datestamp looks a little odd. I'll post the price from the vendor once I've got it from them.

Hi TucsonS..,

Gee, It looks beautiful!!

Unless you've a need, as in special engine or 'whatever', why not get a box stock Behr and be done with it?

Looking at your location, I would guess that you have never experienced a 130 degree day. (Grin).

I guess I'm just not over impressed with the plastic/AL combination. The company that makes these radiators pressure tests to 32psi, and makes them for drag racers. They're also in Glendale, AZ - so they're used to the ungodly high temps we have out here.

Custom Radiator

I have had some issues with the M119 engine running hot in the w126 engine bay so I have an all-aluminium radiator on order from Ron Davies Radiators.

The price is $785, roughly double the cost of a Behr or Nissens replacement unit.

I tried the replacement route last fall, but it did not solve the heating issue.

Satish has a place called BeCool in Michigan make a custom radiator for his V-12 conversion, but when I called them they had misplaced all the drawings for that order so they would have had to start from scratch if they were to build another.

My radiator should be delivered in about three weeks. I'll keep you posted on whether it solves my problem.

Keep me in mind too. I'm not sure the stock MB radiator will do the job on the LS6 in Vegas, but I'm going to try.

UPDATE 2020 Full Aluminum W126 Radiator

Historically, mramay's LS6 SEC project is no more. Axel still has his M119 SEC with the Ron Davis custom radiator...

Some of us BW members have had/still have cooling system questions & upgrades on the mind.

I just got off the phone with fellow BW member Stutz about cooling the W126...

I believe as of this posting, [OEM] BEHR 126 radiators are going the way of the Dodo these days. NLA in other words.
Nissen is today's offering generally.

Other members have, with generally well looked after cooling systems, yet have temp gauge rising issues on hot days in 'city' stop & go traffic.
I've experienced this 'uncertainty' myself, some years ago.

Perhaps a custom made 2020 full-aluminum W126 radiator might fit the need?

There is an eBay ad [July, 2020] that offers one for 126 V8s for less than $300 shipped from & delivered here in continental USA.

Yes.. It is made in China.

That said, had I not purchased a new BEHR for my 500SEC in 2018, and considering the mods I've chosen there...
I'd might be installing one myself.. just for the visual impact once the hood is opened, if nothing else.

Personal vanity aside, if yours is 'on the edge' cooling-wise, maybe radiator with top & bottom tanks of aluminum might shed a lot of heat faster than our plastic ones ala BEHR & Nissen.

Just my mind on 2020 Covid overdrive here.

My very best to you all.

Chinese - Caveat Emptor....

Those welds aren't the most impressive I've seen.
