Does anybody have any experience, getting the SRS light to go out? Guys at the dealership tell me it is probably an airbag control module $1700 + labour (CDN) Ouch. Any ideas?
Cheers, lawrence.

SRS Light

I would first remove the steering wheel and clean the contacts - there could be just a bit of corrosion on them.

Thanks, the tech at MB did a diagnostic checking all the circuits, and came to the conclusion that it was the airbag module. This is also known as a crash sensor, and is the switch that detects an impact. I did some looking on eBay and bought a used one with a very similar part number for $10.50 (instead of $1700cdn for a new one). Turns out that it is replacement part number and the part should work. Now I'm not religious, but **Please God, make that part fit!!**
Lawrence.

Will say a prayer for you. And what a savings! Have you tried some of the on-line places for asking questions?

I've talked with the guys at Star Quality (and ordered parts). Been helpful.

Take care and thanksfor the info,

Stan
