Hi

ML270CDI 2002

I have changed my fuel filter and now it will not start. Suspect airlock in filter or lines. How do I get rid of the air in the lines.

Hi

So I fixed it. The filter wasn't full to the brim. Filled it up to the point of overflow with a small pipe attached to a syringe till no air came out. Connected the pipes and started on second try.

air in lines

Hi
How do you bleed the lines or will the last bit of air bleed by itself.

If it is running it should go away by itself.

We never had the 2.7 CDI here so I don't have instructions handy. If needed I can look up
the procedure the techs use on the E320 CDI cars we see.

air in lines

Hi

I think that the E320 will be the same in prinseple because of the cdi part. The common rail will have the same components and if they bleed it on the supply of the common rail it wil be the same on my 270 cdi.

Hope I'm right.
