I am glad I chose mann over any other. The OEM mercedes air filter has MANN's part number on there.

Just ordered a set of Mann filters C3698-2 on amazon.com and paid $30.81 (free shipping).

For people who own 2008 R350, there is no long center bolt to be removed that makes changing air filters a little quicker. (metal cover does not have center mounting bracket for the bolt, only saw a mounting bracket with female nut on the upper chassis)

I checked mine yesteray and the air filters are still clean (see thru light)so I just tapped the air filters and put them back (only 13K miles on odometer)

Note: Dealer charges ~$100.00 (Parts & labor).

I got mine from the dealer at 26,000 miles. I do not know when they were changed so I changed both of them out just in case It took me ~15 min to take the old out and ~10 to put it back together.

I got my filters for the R350 and 2 of my other cars from autopartswarehouse.com. They had a 10% off and free shipping.

What makes you guys think you'll decrease the longevity of your engine with an aftermarket filter? I assume you guys have heard some horror stories?
