Moggers:

We have just wrapped up 4 days of effort installing an a/c unit on Thor, our 1017A expedition camper. We were lucky enough to be able to schedule this prior to returning to the desert southwest at the end of our multi-month road trip. We had suffered many days at 100+ degrees in the un-air conditioned cab, so the thought of being able to drive with the windows up was quite appealing.

Rob Pickering performed the installation and things came out great.

Photos and dialog are available on Part 35: Air Conditioning Installation Part 1 20120811-13 if you are interested.

There are also pages linked to the a/c story that are trip related.

Tomorrow we will head out from La Junta, CO headed west again.

Happy mogging.

That AC unit will be great! One thing to watch out for is pointing it directly at your head - I've experienced and read that cold air directed at only your had while the rest of the body is warmer can exacerbate motion sickness.

Also, you need to paint thor. Nothing special, just some more OD green over the whole thing. It's a little too calico.
