Is the MB star for the CLK55 air filter cover available as a separate part? Mine started falling off in pieces, now it is almost completely gone.

Have same problem with CLK M272 I think the boot/trunk star would do the trick.
Check wat's on ebay.

I have heard that a boot star is close but it has a slight curve. This seems that it is a common problem. I have also heard that there was a recall program in GB to replace the cover.

It's made of plastic, warm it up with hair drier. make sur there no grease etc on air filter.

Yes also watching to see if we can find the right part. Same piece is missing on my 55.
