I have been using my Sirius Sportster 4 in my 2006 SLK 55 and find the sound via a wireless fm modulator to be very poor. I am considering hooking up a hard wired FM modulator to my A20. The FM modulator would go between the antenna and the A20. I was wondering if anyone else here has tried doing this install and if the could tell me if the sound is much better by interfacing it in this way. Any other suggestions or help would be greatly appreciated....

So no experience in an SLK, but in my C, the three FM modulators I tried were absolutely useless. As you note, the wireless ones are a complete waste of time. I tried one wired modulator (can't remember the vendor?), and it was better, but here in London, I think there are just too many radio stations.

Ended up with a DICE iPod integration kit to solve my problems - the sounds quality is excellent, and I'm happy with the level of integration with the steering controls.

There are a couple of companies that make "aux only" MOST fiber kits - again, no experience in the SLK, but in C's they work great. Most take the place of your CD changer - for me, was not a big deal, as my iPod has much more music than my changer would ever hold :)
