I am getting a message on my dash Active Headlight Unavailable, after reading many forums and talking to a dealer this is because of the motor in the headlight isn’t working properly. With all that said the dealer told me that each headlight is $2400.00.

Are there any options? I don’t care about the movement of the headlights, I just want to level them and save some money :).

Thanks!

Each headlight is $1200 list with bi-xenon and active cornering. $714 at parts.com.
Your dealer is really sticking it to you.
I do not know of a way to align and then lock the lights into position. However if they
are aimed well while you are driving then you could just turn off the Auto feature and
manually turn on the headlights when you need them. The active cornering only works
when the lights are set to come on in Auto Mode on the dial switch.

Noodles, thanks for the advice! Never heard of parts.com, I took a look at your link and it’s a little confusing. Please take a look at attached.

Which lights would I need for MY 2006:
Headlamp assy w/bi-xenon lamps, w/corner lamps
Or
Headlamp assy w/bi-xenon lamps, w/o corner lamps

And is this the whole “headlight”, pull the old headlights out and put these in and done?

The dealer told me that for $2400.00 it is everything, is this what you are telling me?

I hope this makes sense, thanks in advance.

Noodles, I haven’t called Jerry about the Headlight yet, before I do I wonder if you can answer my post from 8/30/12 @ 10:45am. The headlight that is bad is the passenger side. Here is the URL again: Auto Parts - Parts.com, For Every Part of Your Life

But can you literally reply with a screenshot or something detailed so I can buy the correct part from parts.com? Sorry to ask for so much, I would just to buy the correct part (and not pay dealer prices).

Did the dealer diagnose which headlight has failed?

I doubt you need both.
Once you know which side has failed then PM me your VIN and I will talk to Jerry just
to make sure. Then I can post a screen shot of exactly what you need with the part #.
