I've stopped bringing my car to places because they always find a way to screw it up worse, I espically liked the time only my locking lugs were holding my wheels on. Alright, my car from idle to about 4000rpm has an engine noise and the car actually shakes, it sounds like it will stall at lights but never does. Problem started today, it happens in all gears, a friend told me to check the oil level because it was replaced a couple weeks ago and the level was above the max. I hadn't got any of the other fluids replaced or checked in a while, it's all stock. Is this car even safe to drive right now?
Thanks in advance,
Jason

Oh, the check engine light has been on for about 6 months now, Mercedes can't stop it except for unplugging the light or wiring.

No need to worry. The oil level is of no concern.

However the engine light indicates (ussually) a faulty engine sensor. You need to have the codes read.

This is most likely related to the noise you are hearing.

What sort of noise is it? Missing? Define further

It sounds like a heavy purring, I don't know exactly how to described it, if it helps i'll record it and post that?
