wondered if anyone knows if its easy to retro fit a standard aerial to my slk200
(uk) . 1998 model. radio reception is awful fm and am.

Im assuming yours has the hidden aerial in the rear bumper??
I have the same in my 1998 slk230. It works great.

Check the aerial amplifier behid the left rear taillight. Connections, power etc. Unscrew aerial connector on amp to see if anything changes.

Shouldn't be much of a problem, Mercedes had a kit to replace all the 1997 MY antennas here in the States, there should be some still available, or at least the instruction for that retro fit.

Mine also is in the bumper and works great, I would say dont fit the one on the wing, They look crap, are more trouble then they are worth, and just give something for the little snots to snap off.
