Hey guys im new to the 129 scene anyways after driving my 91 500sl (72k miles) around til the car heats up there's this smell like burning rubber inside the cabin coming from the vents and when i get out and pop the hood there's a slight amount of smoke coming from the passenger side headers i cant really tell where exactly its coming from but there was oil leaking from the pcv tube which i replaced and its been a week and its still smoking with a reduced but still prominent smell so forgive my run on sentence but any ideas on what this could be? oil not burned off yet? exhaust leak? rear seal (hope not) but any advice is greatly appreciated.

If it is not old residual oil from the tube, I would look for some other easy stuff. These engines break oil caps (see above) and the valve covers start to leak after a while. Changing valve covers is no big deal. Buy OEMs from the dealer.
