Being able to run a low octane gas. I.e lowering compression ratio. This produces the same power. For more info you should look to a (964) 911 C2/4. It's not an advantage in countries where high octane gas is avaliable. The problems are more expensive and difficult to diagnoss. I had just sent in a 964 to my local agent and two coils were gone. thanks for dual distributors were not spoilt. It would have cost me more $$$
