Most BIOSes I've modified were AMI and they had one checksum verification for each file, and so long you grabbed a good quality file download, you could insert a few of them without interfering with the others or the overall checksum...modded my X79 mobo to boot from PCI-E NVME that way. That was easier than bin editing, imo. :p

MB extreme tool....haven't heard of it. Seems to do most of what VVDI does, except that it also offers airbag clears by generating seed response. TBH, there are softwares out there that can do that already. VVDI has a software for that too, you'd have to look it up.

Everything that the MBET has, VVDI matches.

Well, that was an interesting first experience in EIS tampering! LOL

Long story short.
I fixed my issue and car is back up and running. Also to note, I now understand a few more things. The EIS controls the auto folding mirrors! I now have Auto fold and 1 touch fold!

I also have the vin number showing in the ICM when in dyno mode. Still working out the mileage situation.

Still have to wait for the keys to also sync. Waited for 2 hours and it still showed computing, so I tried to start the car and it started first try.

Still need to see if i can fix my second key, but my 3rd key is working like a champ.

Still need to do some testing, but learnt quite a bit this go round.

Press Key Button, signal for unlock gets sent to wherever it is supposed to go (depending on what it is set up for)

Yes, apparently my older than dirt EIS did not have the can signals in it. Along with being a royal pain to try and renew. The minute I queued up the 215 545 02 08 everything came together. Renew/Keys/Vin/Personalize and Activation all went how I thought it should have went in the first place. Along with being able to get the pass from the IR. It is also setup for ESL if your year has it. I thought that was going to be the kicker, but when i loaded up my EIS data, all went fine. It also repaired my other key!

Next up.... Gearbox lost all the key hashes...LOL

I always used to sub out the 7G Tronic Control Units ?

I'm not certain any of us can confirm or refute that, but I did get told that if you know someone with Subscription he can come on your machine via Team Viewer (TV) and do it, I'd say it is likely that you can as long as you have valid log in credentials.

Safest way is take a complete back up of your HDD, and then if it all goes "Pete Tong" you can swap the HDD's and just re do the Keygens ;)

And whatever happens, please share it here so we all know for the future !!
