ADLA Adjustment- More power?

Hi, I'm new to this forum and was lookinng for feedback- has anyone tried doing the ADLA adjustment? Is there anything I should be worried about?

By the way, this is on a 1983 300TD turbodiesel, 170k miles

Edit: I wanted to give a little more background- the link above describes an adjustmant made to a unit on the injection pump that allows more fuel to be delivered at lower RPM, allowing the engine to produce more torque at low engine speeds (supposedly eliminating the turbo lag feel).
