I have a low-mileage 1988 model, and I am just crazy about it. In fact, I only have one gripe. I am too tall for the car...at only 6'2", my head is up against the hardtop. More room with the softop up, but with the seat adjustment max down, I could use another inch or so.
I have been told that on some 107s the seat track themselves could be adjusted up or down by exchanging the bolts that hold them in, and putting them in holes higher or lower than they were installed in the factory. Similarly, that there are knobs that can be pulled out, height adjusted and replaced higher or lower. Either would be great, but I cannot find either.
Has anyone discovered a way to adjust the height of the seats in late model 107s? Thanks for your help.

I've a 1973 450 SL and the height adjustment was behind the driver's seat under the floor mat. I myself couldn't figure out where it was by the manuel but my Mercedes mechanic did.
