There are few threads about adding bluetooth to the R. I just want to make that I buy the correct part.. I used a torx driver and opened my center console and found out that I am pre-wired because I saw a 10pin male connector and a connector for an antenna inside the console but I did not see a cradle ?? Do I buy a Mercedes Benz Bluetooth MHI Adapter B67875878 or a V60 BLUETOOTH CRADLE ADAPTER B67875856 or something else.. I have a blackerry curve.. Thanks

So, that means all I need is the Mercedes Benz Bluetooth MHI Adapter B67875878 for my blackerry. Just remove the octagon piece of plastic in my center console and this adapter will just plug in ?? I do not need to buy any sort of cradle/contact plate ??

HELP

what did you end up doing? I am in the same situation, except i own a 2005 clk 320. I have already purchased the adapter and I went to the dealer today and they said i need parts BQ6820965 (vehicle core) and BQ6820913 (completer kit). My question is, do i need to purchase both parts or am i ok with only buying the completer kit and or MHI contact plate and installing that myself since the car is already prewired? the girl at the dealership said i needed both parts but I dont know. I have the two parts in the center just sitting there. I am afraid they are making me spend more than I really need to. They are also charging me about 500 dollars alone for installation. HELP! someone please! i need advice!

I've had good luck with the MB-2 bluetooth adapter from Viseeo - www.viseeo.com

My 20007 R350 was prewired for phone with the MHI connector in the console. The MB-2 paired instantly with an Apple iPhone 4 via bluetooth. The kit includes cables to upgrade the software in the unit if required.

The steering wheel controls worked perfectly.

B67875878

I have a 07 R350, got the B67875878 adapter on ebay (link below)

Mercedes Benz Bluetooth Module Adapter NEW B67876131 : eBay Motors (item 330482923332 end time Oct-12-10 14:36:29 PDT)

It was updated to work with iPhone 4 (my phone). I got the shipment in 2 days, plugged it in and worked like a charm. It took 3 minutes to set it up, the address book downloaded fine and everything works. The dealer does not sell this model any more (at least my dealer) , they have only the newer model (B67876131) which is essentially same and he was charing me $493 + tax.

is mine pre wired?

ok guys, I am totally confused!

From what I read here, some cars are pre-wired and the only thing they need is the Cradle adapter [ MHI BT interface module] in the center console.

Others need the 2 components.

Am I right so far?

How do I check if my 2007 R320 is pre-wired for bluetooth??
I see a little black plastic thingy in the center console...but I dont see any connectors. Does that thing come off to reveal the connectors?

My car has the PII package, CD changer, Navigation, Voice activated controls, full leather package, Xenon, 3rd row AC, parktronic,

Yes, the plastic cover comes off to reveal the connector. You just need to buy the cradle adapter.

Just get the older model which has essentially the same features. I have B67875878, which works great.

Can someone tell me if this the pre-wring?? If so how does the Blue tooth unit plug into it? Do you need some kind of cable/cradle.

Update: i know I am prewired. what a confusing deal. After a lot of research I think I need this to be up and ready.

I already have the 5878. Now I just need to to find installation instructions. Anyone tackled the install?

Ok here is an update from my side:

I bought a used B67875878 adapter from ebay for around 100 bucks. It works 100% fine with my Samsung Focus Windows Phone. I can see the phone’s address book on the car’s display. At first I had some trouble pairing because I did not read the manual. For reference, here is the manual.

Still how do I get this feature to work…
If I say “call Steve” the car says that the address list is blank. Am I missing something?

First of all, and to be clear; we trade our 2006 C230 SS for a 2008 R350
4MATIC a month ago!!

Took the plunge and ordered a MB Bleutooth Module from a recognized eBay seller. It cost me $200 and despite it's not brand new, it's very very pristine.

Bottom line, it paired quickly as heck with my iPhone 4. The adress book got downloaded to the car.

But is it posibble to imput voice command with this configuration? Can I voice-dial a call with it or it's just COMMAND/Steering Wheel imput?

Thanks for the reply.

Voice command is apples/oranges compared to telephone prewiring.

That is, it's an option and a separate option at that. For one thing, you'd need the control stalk on the right side of the steering column.
