99 E320 3.2L V6

So to start I blew a power steering line. It was a quick fix, just had to reconnect the line. When I start the car up it sounds like nothing I have ever heard, almost as if the timing was so far off everything was knocking. I shut it off immediately. Started it again and same deal. I believe I saw a "ACV valve code come up on the display but I shut it off so quick cuz it sounds like a bomb went off in the motor. Any ideas where to get started? EGR valve? It is cold now here in maine, not sure if thats what induced to problem because I can't see it being related to the power steering line that I fixed. Thanks for any help

Sorry to hear about the problem. You might get more and quicker replies if you post this in the W210 forum. Just scroll down, look for the sedans section, and ask your fellow owners. Good luck.

Thank you. I updated on the 210 forum now.

I reset the OBD2 codes and started it with my spare key(per online recommendation) and now it starts and runs okay but it still has an engine knock that it didn't have before this happened. Least it's running though. Thanks again for pointing me to the correct forum.
