ABC replaces Airmatic. ABC is hydraulic, Airmatic is pneumatic. ABC uses a computer to overcome nosedive while braking, and other body motions, where Airmatic's body control system is not as extensive.
It has always been an option on ALL S500 and S430's. It has been standard on the S55 and S600 at least since the facelift. ( 2003-2006 ). PRe 2003, I wouldn't call either of them reliable that would just be overstating a bit.
Perfectly working car,went to cat wash power washed engine while car was running then the car started running real rough an lights started flickering, then turned car off.Now the car won't start. The key is engaging but nothing else. I took the starter out an had it tested but starter is good...
Says the antenna booster is powered from Fuse 60, but Fuse 60 is not connected to anything (empty in the fuse box).
Also, I see sites that say the antenna booster is all over the place.
Where is it located, and which fuse powers it?
I just learnt that there is a difference between AWD and 4WD. To my satisfaction I found that 4matic is AWD. However, there are several articles on the web that Quattro and some Fords systems are the best :( I thought that Mercedes should have the best engineering of its cars. How good is 4matic...
I usually work on my own cars but I don't have a lot of experience with Mercedes. Forums are a huge help. I haven't found anything with the search bar yet and hoping for some direction. We've owned the car for about a year and it has about 125,000 miles on it.
