well I got the batch of LED wedge bulbs I ordered, but I am not sure how to reach the sockets.. how do you remove the plastic covers over the headlamps?

you can reach in without removing the plastic covers. It's kind of a pain to get to.

which kind of bulbs did you get and where did you get them from? Can you show some night pics when you install them? I have been wanting to do this but I am waiting to pull the trigger, I wonder if they will be as bright as the new Audi?

First shipment is currently in customs right now, still waiting to clear. These are the most promising LEDs so far, but we've only had one person test them out in Sweden. When they get in, we'll see how they look.

There's another LED option that looks very good, but they're made in Japan (nothing wrong with that), but very expensive....like $60 for a set of 2 I believe.

Steer clear of all the LEDs on ebay unless you have 8000K HID and don't mind the blue tint. None of them are white.

Well, the second week after I bought my car (back in Sept 08), the driver's side fog broke, from a rock i guess.. The light still works, but it looks like shit. So, I ordered a new pair of OEM fogs, but with the HIDs on now I need to upgrade the bulbs. I have no idea what to get. Open to suggestions....

Get HID fogs, same temp and your heads. However, fogs aren't a simple plug and play. There'll need to be some cutting involved.
