I have a 1999 C230. My AC blows cool air but it is not the cold air it was about a week ago. What could be the possible problems? And where is the air conditioner compressor located? I think it is (by standing in front of the car) below and to the left of the washer fluid box. Also, is the low port for checking pressure covered with a black cap.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!!

Thanks

Yeah thats the compressor, not sure about the other thing your asking though. How many miles do you have? I didn't have ac when I bought my 99 C230 with 76k. There is some sort of problem with the auxilary cooling fans causing condensor leaks.

Does your EC light stay on? It could be to protect the compressor.

Thanks for your reply Joe...i figured that was it. My C230 has 185K miles on it, so i guess a few minor problems can be expected... Thanks for your help...
