 I have a 1985 300cd and recently spent over 1K and many days in troubleshooting and fixing a problem where the AC and Rpm dial would quit working simultaneously.
This may also be a problem for other 1982 to 1985 tutbodiesel models.
If anybody has this problem and would like to know the solution please email me.
Thanks
Cesar

If you have time, you could post the symptoms and the process you used to fix it here on the forum. That way even in the future, members encountering this problem could find your thread by using the search function and not have to email you for help.

Since those two circuits are served by different fuses, I would venture to say you have a failing ground. I'm sure somebody here has a wire diagram that will show you where the grounds are. See if you can duplicate the failure and check for continuity.

Oh, duh; I just re-read your post. You're not asking for help, you already solved your problem and want to share your experience. What was it? Please share with all of us, that's what this forum is for. Eventually two years from now somebody will do a search for this topic and then the answer will be right there for them to read and fix right away, rather than wait for a return email.

I get the feeling he wants to "SELL" his experience.
