2004 ML 500 never been in the salt.
I keep getting the ABS/ETS/BAS lights come on randomly. Well, I could drive for a while and they may not come on or come on a few seconds after a start.
I have even had the ABS prevent me from going over 3mph a few times. Absolutely random and annoying!
Scanned it with a generic OBDII scanner with no faults, Pulled all 4 wheel and found a loose and slightly raised (by dirt) wheel speed sensor.....
All is good now.
Can anyone recommend a $300 scanner for MB that works as well as my Vag-com on my VW's?

Ha! So you think! But you may have a point - I haven't read much about the ABS/ETS/BAS/...XYZ thing on the 430s. Otherwise, there seems to be an infinite combination of events that will trigger these warnings. The most annoying is the one that locks up the tranny when it occurs and one dares to shift to P - you know, like in normal driving and you actually stop and park the truck! I've yet to figure out what genius at MB thought this was a smart idea!

Great to hear you were able to sort your problem out.

Does anyone have a pic of how this speed sensor looks and where about is it? Can one easy see it by simply removing the wheel ?

Thanks
