Hi all,

To prolong the life of my SL55's ABC system and to avoid any crazy bills in the future I want to give it a good service.

What is involved, change the fluid, bleed the system, change the filter, seals?

If someone could give me a break down on what should be done and at what intervals that would be great.

The more details the better :)

Thanks,

Toby

Nothing you can do to stop them going wrong, for the best part check on the valve block in the wheel arch liner front section to see if any of the valves are leaking, there are 2 with connectors on top, the alli washers can corrode away. Keep your eyes on the bottom of the 4 struts for any leaks (you cannot stop them, only replace) sure you can drain and refill, you will need to get all 4 wheels hanging down to do this, undo the valve on each corner and let the fluid drain out, then re tighten. re fill and start the car, undo each valve in turn till only fluid comes out and no air, it really needs STAR to do this so that the fluid can be heated up in the rodeo setting
