So now that I've had the C36 for a week, it's decided to throw on the old check engine light. I don't have a manual for this car - how bad a situation is this??<br>

Thanks!

Re: Check if the gas cap is tight

Ok, that isn't it. Any other options, or should I just get it to the shop ASAP?

Are any of the electrics playing up? A poor battery can cause all sorts of warning lights to light up. So check battery is in good condition!

My check engine light on my C43 has come on a number of times. Once because of a blown valve on the engine. Three times because of a faulty cam shaft sensor. Once because of a bad wiring harness. I'd get it checked.

Well, it ended up being a dead O2 sensor. That would have been a fairly cheap repair (~$150) but was more than doubled because the C36 requires a special part...I guess I should get used to that routine, eh? =D
