Hi I've just bought a second hand A160 and it won't start dash lights are on battery and alt are 3 months old I've read that I should eliminate a few things before resorting to changing out the starter such as relays and battery voltage any advice would be appreciated.
Also can these cars be force started via bridging starer or clutch start given its a semi Auto.
Reason being I need to get the car back to my place.
Thanks in advance Sky

Ask the seller if it’s had any starting problems.

Charge the battery, or push the car out and run some jumper cables through the driver’s door. Swap the blue relays on the right side of the battery/fuse compartment. One of them is critical for engine start.

If it’s had intermittent no-crank incidents, consider replacing the ignition switch.

No, you can’t force start it.

Good luck. Please let us know how you solved it.
