No warning lights. Starts fine and idle's fine. If you press the accelerator down a fraction it will rev as normal. But if you press it down quickly to half it will misfire. I have already replaced the Fuel filter as that was my starting point for troubleshooting my little problem. :)

I've checked the MAF and both sensors arel intact and has no signs of burning or discoloration. The Throttle body was a bit dirty but I have cleaned it up and will reinstall the MAF and throttle body to see if it makes a difference.

How much pressure should the fuel pump produce?

Please your wisdom is needed oh oracle's of MB's

locate the fuel pump relay near the battery and remove it, connect an ohmeter between terminals 30 and 87 on the socket, better this is done with ignition off.
around 5 ohms is good.

Just a quick update on the issue.

Well I got a good scanner which gave me codes for throttle PS and O2 sensor and Fuel trim. Another MB tech said that the MAF was buggered. I took all of that info and thought... I don't think so. Got a fuel pressure tested off of Trademe... fuel pressure down... way down... Dropped fuel tank and got replacement FP. Fitted just now and started it up. All hesitation and spluttering gone. Cleared all codes and went for a 20 min drive... still no signs of issues. Checked codes... all clear... just goes to show when troubleshooting always start with the easy fixes first before you start down the new MAF route lol. :)
