Hi. I've purchased a used avantgard a160 but the radio needs a code. Can anyone tell me where to find it?

Thanks.

Any authorized Mercedes dealer. If you have already established a working relationship with one (such as by buying your car from them) then they already have you as the owner in their computer system. Getting the code for that car will be very simple, since ownership was established by your purchase..

However, if you have never registered yourself as owner of the car with a dealer, you will need proof of ownership to get the code. The same is true if you have a Becker radio and send in the form that is in the link in the sticky. You will need to prove ownership, and Becker charges a fee, where most U.S. dealers do not..
