Hi,

My latches for the roof require a lot of force to be closed.
I found this description of how to adjust them:
77-334.pdf (w124performance.com)

I know that I need the "special tool" but I have been in contact with a person who build one himself and made it work.
My problem is that I don't really understand the steps in the description.
Anyone here who has adjusted the latches and can describe the steps in other words?

Hmmm, MB manual seems to clearly list steps.

Maybe there is a specific step that is unclear to you?
It is mainly this one "Loosen untill handle (2) can be pulled off tapered shaft"
I can loosen the screw a number of turns but then i come to a firm stop. When at this stop the handle is quite loose but it still works as if the screw was tightened and i can open/close and lock the soft top.
I guess the purpose of loosing the screw is to be able to move the handle without locking / unlocking the soft top?
Perhaps i need to use more force to get pass this firm stop? (It feels like i'm going to break something if i do...)
