On my (European) 98 CLK 200K I've noticed a plastic black push-button under the dashboard and above the pedals, just at the right of the steering wheel. It seems to have no function (it's not a kind of secluded DIY anti-theft: the car starts whatever the position of this button). My car had a previous owner, so it's possible he had installed this. Do your CLKs have this button? If so, what is its function?
