Hello,

I wal looking on a German used cars website (autoscout.de) and found a G500 for only 14000 euros.

I contacted the person by e-mail and here you see his answer :

My name is Holz Torsten and I am a NATO military employee in ITALY.
The car has Germany registration and is located inside Grosseto Air
Base in Italy. The price is EUR 16000 (all taxes are paid) , 53000km.
The title is ready to be changed !
This Beautiful and very nicely equipped 2000 Mercedes G500. HANDLES AND LOOKS EXCELLENT!
The engine runs very quiet, the transmission shifts very smooth, the heat and A/C work excellent, all options function properly! It drives and performs exactly as it
should, you will be very pleased!
No accidents or mechanical problems of any sort.
My current status is "in mission" meaning my Commanding
Officer needs a proof of intention from you in order to let me leave
the base.
If you need any additional info or any documents for registering the
car in your country please e-mail me because due to my status I am
not allowed to make or receive phone calls.
Also if you are interested and ready to do the deal please send all the info of the next owner(full name and address, phone/fax number).

Many thanks and have a nice day,

Holz Torsten

The fact that the seller's name is "Holz Torsten" would raise suspicion in me immediately. Holz is a German last name and Torsten is a common first name - but Holz as a first name? And Torsten as a last name? Extremely rare, if not impossible. €16,000 for a 2000 G500? Extremely rare, if not impossible.
It has Fraud written all over it.

I bought a Stainless Steel exhaust from Thorsten Holz last year. Believe me, he has nothing to do with this.

The best that can happen to you is that you lose your 14 grand if you take this offer on.
