Hello,
first of all happy new year to everyone and all the best through 2010!

Since I don't have a glove box because of the airbag, where would MB put the owners manuals? The car is really nice and preserved so I am wandering if there is a "secret" compartment where all the literature is being stored that I am not aware of.

How do you turn on the headlight wipers?

Thank you in advance!

They would normally be in the parcel shelf on the passenger side. The Drivers side if for the First Aid Kit.

'88's and up have Pass side airbags. That's why we have the center console rolltop boxes.

Cool, I wouldn't have guessed they'd stick the manual in the parcel shelf...it's like you need a manual to find the manual.

BTW, my '90 doesn't have a pax airbag, but does have a miniature glovebox.

Thanks for the replies. I guess I am missing the papers. I don't understand what you mean by lights on and "in turn" for the headlight wipers. May be a language barrier on my end...can you explain it again...thanks again.

The Headlight wipers (If you have them) only work when the headlights are ON and you actuate the washers. You just push IN on the turn signal stalk and that actuates the washers. The HLW come on for two cycles if the headlights or parking lights are on.

PM me your email address and I will point you to the manuals on disk and that should clear things up.

What if the HLW do not come on when the headlights are ON and I actuate the washer? Where do I look next?
