With another hot summer approaching, I have been told that cleaning the "years of dust, dirt, etc." which has accumulated on the condenser would increase the cooling efficiency of my a/c system. It was suggested that I spray EasyOff oven cleaner on the condenser, wait a bit and then wash it, to clean the junk off. But would that damage the condenser if it's made of aluminum? If so, what can you do to clean?
