Does anyone know how much (by weight) R134a should be used to charge a fully discharged A/C system in a '95 E320?
Thanks,

Sergio

Sergio,

I am pretty certain that the 134a is 20% less than R12. That would make the system content come out to 28 oz.

This is the formula I followed when I replaced my A/C system in my 86 300E. Worked perfectly afterward.

Good Luck,

Jayare

PS - I did all this at a friends shop. He had all the pro equipment to vaccum down the system and a CD rom quidence program for the correct amount of 134a to use on our cars.

Thanks.
I just looked under the hood this morning (should have dont this before I asked) and found a green sticker that says R134a; 2.1 lbs) so the answer is 33.6 Oz.
Will start will less and see what the pressures are.
