Greetings,

I have 2001 C240 Sedan and I have this Issue:

Each time I on the A/C the condenser get excessively heated
and Gas start escaping via the condenser dryer, and eventually EC Mode get activated which in turn prevent AC from cooling.

Pls, Does anyone know what this can be and how to correct? Thank you for your help.

there is a pressure relief valve which releases refrigerant when the pressure is too high. that is usually on the compressor though. did someone add refridgerant to it recently?

A clogged dryer will also cause this. If the system was opened for repair, and the dryer was not replaced, this is the result.

Thanks guys, Yes refrigerant was added recently because the EC mode always shows that the Refrigerant is too low when diagnosed.

Also the car was diagnosed with Star and it shows that the fault is from the condenser itself. And we notice that the fan does not start as the A/C starts but until the Engine temperature rises.

Thanks.
