It's the side marker lamp this time... Man, I'm replacing bulbs every five weeks on average recently.

How do I replace them? I tried reading the manual, no indication of sidemarker lamp bulb replacement.. in fact, no mention of sidemarker lamps at all [?]

help please [:(]

Are you referring to the ones on the bumper impact strips? You should get the LED bulbs that I have. They'll last a lifetime [:)] I recently just figured out how to install them properly for the C-class headlamps. They work beautifully now (requires a special harness) [:)]
if it makes you feel better

pokerface x - I have a 2001 C240 as well and just replaced 3 bulbs - left front marker light, right rear brake light and right rear marker light. I agree kinda crazy to replace bulbs so early. With my last car I only had to change 3 bulbs in 6 years!!

If memory serves me right, instructions are on page 326 of manual.

Yup, page 326 is the bulb-changin' section. Alas, nothing about side markers. [xx(]

I've replaced 1 rear running (parking?) light, both brake lights, three side markers, 2 lowbeams, 1 highbeam[B)]

I'll be building up my own stock of bulbs at home pretty soon

LED side markers

Just curious, where can I get the ones you reference here? Thanks in advance.
From formymercedes.com...

They're one of our site sponsors actually. Go to http://www.myroadster.net/led.asp

Note that you will need to tap a generic W5W socket to the LED bulb to fool the bulb-out system into thinking that there is a regular incadescent bulb there (since the LEDs draw MUCH less current than the regular incadescent bulbs do).
