Hi All,
I have a 99 E320 4matic that developed a rough idle today.The CEL is on. I ran the code and it came up p0305-cyl 5 misfire and p0443-evap emission. I am thinking electrical..coil, plug or wire? Any thoughts?

check/change the plugs and check the coil pack. plugs are an easy diy if you don't mind getting your hands (really) dirty. i haven't had any misfire issues with my w210 but i corrected the same issue on my other car by simply changing old plugs.

Ignition Coil

Update...I swapped the #4 coil with # 5 and determined that the coil was bad. I just replaced it today and it is back to running smoothly! The other code I believe was the gas cap. I cleared it and it has not come back. Code reader was a big help...
