Just picked up a 97 E320 M104 with 240,000 miles, new tires, newish battery and alternator for $650.00. Car was ragged out by a college student. It has a battery drainage issue. I hooked up a meter in series between the negative cable and post of the battery. Before the car first "goes to sleep", it shows a .33 amp draw. After settling down it drops to .09 amps which I am assuming is 90 milliamps. I have removed all of the fuses, radio, climate control, all of the red wires that bolt to the positive cable, disconnected alternator, cd changer, all connectors from all of the modules in the engine compartment including the relay module and the draw remains at .09. Also, I used CarSoft to test all of the systems and clear any errors and the car is currently in limp mode.
Thanks in advance!

You'll want to post this in the non-AMG forum.

You'll get more appropriate feedback there :wink

Fantastic. How do you end up determining the culprit?

I disconnected the 3 power feeds at the junction block below the gas pedal and one by one hooked them back up to find the offender. Isolated it to the feed that powers the ignition switch and blower. Removed plug from ignition switch and all that was left is the blower. Motor appeared to be fine(except it only ran at 1 speed)so I replaced the regulator and all is good. It was a PITA but I learned a lot. I found it odd that the power feed to the blower is hot all the time and is not protected by a fuse.
