I found these 18" Chrome wheels on ebay for $1550 for my 97 SL500 Sport. Does anyone know if this is a fair price? Or if they can be purchased from the Tire Rack?. Thanks, Mike

For around $800 you could get a set of ASA ST4's (silver) or about $1200 (chrome) from tirerack for the same size as the ones you posted (18's).

The ones you posted look like original R129 chrome AMG's which would retail for about $2000 (New) from tirerack.

I think I should point out that the R129 really looks good with the staggered setup (which costs about $10-$30 more per rim).

Got My Chrome Wheels!!

HOORAY! I got the staggered Chrome 18" AMG wheels for my '97 SL500 Sport. They came from LA Wheel & Tire and I must say that they totally changed the look of the car. Not only that but the ride is so much better with the new 18" Michelin Pilot Sport II tires... Totally different from the 16" wheels and Michelin Pilot Sports that were on it. I feel like I have a new car. Thanks to all for the great advice I've gotten on here...all that I have left to do is a fresh black leather interior and xenon headlights.. I sure am loving this car.. best deal I ever got on Ebay []
