Hello All,

I am trying to locate a power steering pump rebuild kit. I was told by various sources that the kit I need is no longer available. My pump number is 1404888201. My engine # is 119.984, not self leveling. Mercedes pump # is 1404666201-88, 88 meaning rebuilt pump. Does anyone know if this kits is still available? I would prefer to rebuild than purchase, thanks. Even Mercedes told me that this kit is no longer available, and I can't find it online.

leaking or noise?

If leaking there were a couple posts here a while ago completing that procedure with some o rings they obtained from a store online. I would suggest you search the forum and see if those entries meet your needs.

Go to Auto Parts at AutohausAZ - OEM Auto Parts - Discount Replacement Parts, Resources and Car Care Tips and do a search. They have them for $32.

Decided to purchase a remanufactured pump with a 3 year / 36,000 mile warranty. Pump cost $191.00.
