I'm having a hard time finding the connector for the non-sensor end of the lead. It is not like the '97-on connector as pictured in Bentley's. Schematic refers to pin #30 as the non-shield lead of the CKP. I see a #30 pin in a large connector which conects to a cpu/box, but that doesn't appear to be where the CPK lead merges into.

I just want to get an ohmeter across it so I can wiggle the site of a pinch in the insulation shield (where it appears it may have been sandwiched, for example, between the starter motor and the bellhousing and crimped there when the bolts were tightened).

I wouldn't approach this casually, but could gold coaxial connectors be used to splice out the pinch?
