Hello All!

I can't seem to tear myself away from this amazing and super helpful site! Ive been reading, and lusting over the many W202 pics, but now I need to get down to business.

First off, new user here. Located in the Indianapolis area of Indiana, US. I'm very excited to be a part of this site, and hopefully will be able to be helpful to others in the years to come!

Issue: Right side fog lights front AND rear - had the front right fog light go out(so I thought) and purchased a new lamp. Replace, but still not working. Did further searching and testing, found the right rear fog light is out as well. Tested both lamps, swapped them to other side, work fine on left, not at all on right. Mostly just a headache now, I can live with it, but its still bothering me...

Thanks for your patience with me... Looked for about two hours, and didn't find any other threads that would answer my questions... If there is already one, and I've missed it, please let me know!

You are looking for a Blower Motor Resistor. I just changed my blower and resistor this weekend.

Thanks for the reply! Is the resistor the module attached to the blower motor housing?

Yes it is the metal part that is attached fan housing.

Addition to earlier post: First Issue is in the process of being resolved. Just waiting on parts. Should be here Friday. Saturday is install day.

Now... On to the fog light issue. I have checked all the fuses I could find, and all are in good order. Does anyone know the location of the relay, if there is one? Or am I looking at a grounding issue?

If you found out the issue with both the front and rear right-side fog lamps, please let me know. I've just bought a 96 c220 in good condition appart from some minor DIY fixes, those 2 fog lamps being one of them

I though the rear fog light only came on the left rear of the car....isn't that how all mb are?

GrumpleStache, going over the maintenance manual it seems like you are right. Funny though, they still use the same lightbulb for both sides of the car. Guess all I will need are 2 new lightbulbs for the front.
