So there I was, strolling into the "stealership" to obtain a couple of things for the ol' 420. I asked the parts guy for those little gaskets that fit under the windshield washer nozzles. "No problem", he replies "they're $95 each. How many y'want?"

The problem is that they only come bundled with a nozzle - at $95 each.

Anybody run across a different/better source for body gaskets?

Yeah, I know I can buy the entire nozzle assemblies for $30-35 all over the 'net. But I was wondering if there was a source that anyone knew of for the various body gaskets. After all AFAIK, VDO doesn't make the rubber parts, they're farmed out and then assembled for VDO who then supplies the entire assembly to parts distributors.

My boat guy says he made these gaskets for pennies out of marine grade gasket material. Maybe he could make up another set. How do you know when they become a problem?
