Hello to all,

I am in the proccess of doing the suspension on my wagon and I am interested in knowing if I "MUST" replace the rear hydropnumatic shocks with the expensive originals , or can I eliminate the system altogether and put standard MB shocks and springs or even something aftermarket?

If there is something other than the original set-up out there for this wagon , please let me know.

Any and all info. will be helpful and very much appreciated.

Thank you for reading.....

Well, if want to do away w/ the S/L'ing you'll need to buy HD springs that are taller (you'll need to set the car up w/ a bit of a rake). You will also have to loop the hyd. system on itself or remove it all together. Considering how well the system works when it's in order I would recomend keeping it there esp. in a wagon.

What makes you think your rams are bad? They don't often fail. Are they leaking??

Let me know.
