Hello,

My AC started blowing hot air on my way to the store so I turned it off. After shopping I started the car then press a button on the CCU, the engine choke then shut off.

If I leave the CCU on and start the car, it hesitate at first then idle just fine. Another problem here is that the blower seems to have stopped working even with the defroster or fan selection on high. I can feel only a breeze coming out of the correct vents with the temperature wheel at hot/cold.

I need help with where to start on this problem. Could it be compressor clutch
or blower motor (regulator), etc?

Thank you,

If I understand correctly, it sounds like your blower motor resistor has left this world. You should replace both motor and resistor at the same time, then see if the AC is causing too much load on the engine.

You're right! The engine runs fine with compressor disconnected, but would overload when I reconnect it. I removed the cover for a look underneath and found refrigerant build up at the bottom of the compressor and on the cover, so it's busted for sure. The heater fan is blowing at medium speed but not high or loud like normal. I guess the blower & regulator need work as well.

Any suggestion, on what other part I should replace along with the compressor?
