Have a factory Sportline package on my 94 E320. Looking to upgrade to aftermarket springs and strut/shocks for this model, but I keep getting different answers from all the parts houses that I talk to. Don't necessarly want to go back to OEM parts... but wanted to see how others have upgraded to aftermarket suspension parts on the Sportline. Thanks.

Could be, a better question to ask is what you're trying to achieve with the suspension. Stock height etc. etc. or are you looking to lower the car? There are so many variables out there.

Just looking to refresh the suspension. Chassis has over 180K miles and was told by the MB dealer in January while in for an alignment that the springs are probably due for a replacement. Like the current ride of the Sportline, but would like to understand what else is available.

Stay with the stock parts. Rear springs are about $85 each. Front $95 each approx.
The sportline is a wonderful compromise between comfort and sport.

I run 7 124s, and after trying assorted changes, I agree completely w unesl

MB dialed in a good compromise between comfort and handling. Unless you have specific goals, a stock refresh will make you fall right back in love w your Sportline.

Oh, and maybe look around, you can probably save 40% or so w a good inde.

Thanks unesl, you were spot on with the new MB springs, however MB thinks VERY highly of thier struts ($235 ea) and the shocks ($164 ea). I can find Bilstiens for the standard chassis but they have no listing for the Sportline... Has anyone found Sportline replacement struts or shocks?

Of course there are special Bilsteins for Sportline:
V36-4053 Front
B36-1612 Rear

Check out other shocks availble for Your model:
WebKat

Actually the catalogue states that only the Sportline struts use the superior Bilstein Monotube technology, while all the other (Sport,Sprint,HD) use the twin-tube technology. (?)
