My '94 E320 is very difficult to start after the engine is warm. Ignition turns over and over but doesn't fire. I let it crank for 10 or 15 seconds then try again. Can take as many as 10 trys and then on the 11th try, it starts right up. Cold starts are no problem as long as I have the AC turned off, otherwise the drag on the engine is too much for it to start easily. Dealer recommended putting fuel injector cleaner in gas tank, which I tried. No improvement. Any ideas on what the problem could be? Car has 134,000 miles on it.

Had a 94 E320 that never gave this type of problem, but had problematic electrical.

Have you changed the engine wiring loom? Every one of the E's and 300's between 91 and 95 needs this somewhere between 60K and 140K. Mine was done at 120K.

If this is done I would have a mechanic check the crank angle sensor, Throttle Position Indicator, and Mass Airflow Sensor - probably in that order ( check the cheapest first)

Good luck.
