I have a 1994 E320 Wagon and it seems to be completely dead. I was getting the clicking sound and dash lights so I replaced the battery knowing that the battery was old and the symptoms pointed in that direction. It ran fine for a few days but now if I go to start it it's completely dead, no lights, no clicking sound, not a peep of anything. I am new to these cars so any help for a nooby would be appreciated!
Thanks

Single click or continuous clicking?

Regardless, sounds like your alternator. Continuous clicking is more likely starter.
To check your alternator: Charge up your battery. Check the voltage. Run car and recheck the voltage. I believe the voltage should go up a couple of volts.

its the voltage regulator, its located inside the alternator, search google for that.

Make sure you get a new VR made by Bosch, not chinese crap.

And by the way, you should ask in the W124 section not general, thus you will get more helpful replies.
