To do it properly the car needs to be on a lift with a gauge on the transmission while in drive doing around 30 mph.Its been a while so forgive me if I am off a bit. Then you can adjust the pressure if it is off which I cant remember the specs but I have done it on the ground too.The modulator is on the drivers side of the trans with a vacuum hose going to it,you pop off the black plastic dust cap and carefully pull out the metal key enough to adjust the pressure up or down which I believe clockwise is more pressure.Just remember where you started from before you start adjusting. Also before you start do a general check of the vacuum hose connection between the motor and the trans.Hope this helps.

As an aside, if your trans was slipping that Eats up your ATF right quick. I'd Srongly recomend you do a complete fluid change (torque converter etc) and filter. It's CHEAP insurance. Just be sure to use a quality name brand ATF.
