Hi,
We were stuck 30 miles away due to the benz not igniting. Got car towed after many hours of trying different things, car ignited after putting gas in carb area but did not stay on. We have since put jumper cable on the line of the fuel pump (under the rear right seat) and the car works then. It seems to be an electrical problem, coz when the car was down the wipers would go own by them selves...I am trying to locate (precise location) the fuse for the fuel pump relay...please help me find 87 Mercedes 300E fuel pump relay fuse, so we can replace it or resolve this problem with infinite gratitude to all that help or don't.....with infinte love, Sarita

There is no fuse for the pumps. It's the relay as pointed out by cbc.

The fuel delivery diagram 114 shows that the fuel relay is connected directly to the battery and also fed by fuse 7 in the fuse/relay box.

It is there behind the battery. Black box next to KLIMA. Mine has 003 545 00 05 printed in white with a bar-code. If you wrap a paper clip or some wire around pins 15 and 87 it will get you home. (I used mine that way for 600 miles)
