87 560 SEL Cruise control

So the cruise control on this car is a flip of the coin. This morning, on the way to work, it worked flawlessly. On my way back from work, it would not engage at all. This has happened a few times before. Is there anything in particular I should be looking at? Is this possibly another case of corroded fuses / sub-optimal grounding wires?

^ What he said. Cold solder joints making intermittent contact. Common problem.
